COURSE OVERVIEW
The course gives students the creative and technical knowledge and skills they need to become professionals in the fashion industry. Using an integrated approach that combines creativity and applied technical proficiency, it takes students from design concepts and processes through to final production. Exploratory and experimental projects enable students to develop an in-depth understanding of fashion design.

With a strong foundation in technical proficiency and a good eye for market trends, students are able to start honing their individual styles and identities through their collections.

ASSESSMENT METHODS
All modules will be assessed through a combination of assessments, tests, class participation and written examinations. To be awarded the Advanced Diploma, students will need to achieve a passing mark of 50% for all modules. For Degree and Master programmes, students will need to achieve the passing grade stipulated by the University for all modules.

TEACHING AND LEARNING 
It is essential that a student is subjected to a broad range of views and experiences in order that the learning process may elicit, sometimes over a prolonged period, appropriate routes for a person to take, particularly in the latter stages of the Programme.

Admission Criteria
• An agregate score of at least 65% in C.B.S.E Class XII 1
• An English proficiency level of IELTS 6.0 or equivalent 2
• An agregate score of at least 55% in RMAT 3
• An entry interview by relevant faculty 4
• An extensive portfolio (optional) 5

3 RMAT (Raffles Millennium Aptitude Test) is an objective-based entrance test on various skills and creative interpretation.

RECOGNITION OF PRIOR LEARNING
Applications for Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) are assessed on an individual basis. For design courses, applicants must present their portfolios, transcripts and relevant documents during the interview. They may be advised to take up bridging modules if deemed necessary by the Programme Directors.
